  1. Gather the ingredients.
  2. Combine ground veal, butter, lemon juice, salt, nutmeg, and pepper in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into 6 veal patties.
  4. In a shallow bowl, mix together the egg and water to create an egg wash.
  5. Dip patties into egg and water mixture, then coat thoroughly in breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Brown coated veal patties on both sides in hot oil, then reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes, or until veal patties are done and cooked through.
  7. Serve as is with potatoes or other side dishes, or as a burger in a sandwich.
